As I sat under the bright lights in my wooden chair staring at the silver couch across from me, I reflected on the day’s event. Eight hours of interviewing people I had never met before had simply turned into one of the most inspiring days of the year! The questions asked were deep and thought provoking because that is what the Kigi brand is about. The openness I received from each person, while answering these questions, created a deep connection between the people there and showed global needs of others. It stimulated conversation about how we can work together to create positive change in the world and strive for human equality.
What I learned from this amazing group was the importance of how we use our freedom. On a global level not everyone is fortunate enough to have the power of choice and therefore it is our duty to help those with no voice. We have the opportunity to empower others around the world through our lifestyle and actions. If we live consciously and make choices that give back we create opportunity for others. Our gift of freedom is a powerful way to create change because we can do this through everyday choices. We can choose to believe in equality, connection, empowerment, awareness, purpose, free-thinking… we are who we choose to be.
